I had the day off the other day to celebrate Caesar Chavez Day. The kid was looking forward to taking me to kindermusic to show me off to her friends and to show off her musical skills. Unfortunately, the teacher was sick and canceled class. The kid was very disappointed that we couldn’t go to class together so to make up for it we took a walk over the hills and through the woods to nearby the Walgreens. The kid filled up a shopping basket with toys and candy and her disappointment ceased for a moment. Oh the littlest things that will make a kid happy.
