Boston, Wicked Fun!

I’m back again. It has been a long time since my last post. I think I was suffering from writer’s block. It also doesn’t help that my wife hogs the computer. We recently had another great vacation in Boston. My little girl is quite the experienced traveler and loves every minute of it, even the packing. I am always amazed at what she packs into her personal suitcase of goodies. Her old pal, Woody, and new girlfriend, Lizzy, were some of the stuffed friends that made the trip, along with other assorted crayons, papers, games, books, toys, puzzles, etc. I enjoy traveling a lot, but especially now that I can share the experience with her. I still laugh when I imagine her jumping into the Boston Common Frog Pond in her pink dress and then having to wear an adult t-shirt until we could buy her a new outfit, but I don’t know if that was the best moment of the trip. Maybe it was witnessing her talking with Abigail from the colonial days at the 185th Birthday of the Union Oyster House? Or her laughing as she fought the waves on the beach in Maine? Or her falling asleep in mid-sentence at Faneuil Hall? Or her calling the rowdy kid on the steps near the Harbor a goofball? Or her mimicking Red Sox closer Jonathon Papelbon as he warmed up in the bullpen? Or her offering her rookie year T-ball card to “Bee-tek” in exchange for a baseball? Or her driving the duck boat in the Charles River? Or her convincing her Papa to buy her a whole family of stuffed lobsters? Or her blowing the duck horn behind Papa? Or her telling Boston goodbye from her Hotel window and saying “Goodbye Boston. I got a dinner a hind me, don’t worry its perfect for you”? No, the best moment was probably her telling each one of us each night that she loved us and asking “are we all going to Boston next morning?” Good times kid! Wicked Fun.
